Simple Modern Giving Summit 2024 Showcases OKC’s Nonprofit Impact Simple Modern, which exists to give generously, recently held its annual Giving Summit, a day-long discussion with nonprofits to both understand their impactful initiatives and to continue to forge partnerships aimed at driving positive change in Oklahoma City, the nation and across the globe. During the 2024 Summit, all Simple Modern employees attended presentations from 22 nonprofits – 16 existing partners and six new potential partners – to learn about the mission, programs, needs and volunteer opportunities available. "We are thrilled to host the Simple Modern Giving Summit once again and to provide a platform for nonprofits to amplify their voices and showcase their impactful work," said Mike Beckham, Simple Modern co-founder and CEO. "This is a day for our employees to understand the tremendous work being done to drive change in this world, and giving generously to these nonprofits is why our company exists." Simple Modern gives at least 10 percent of annual profits to better communities around the world. As part of this giving, about 12% of annual giving is employee-driven, meaning every Simple Modern employee, regardless of title or tenure, directs an amount to give to any 501(c)(3) charity of their choice. “Generosity is the cornerstone of Simple Modern,” Beckham said. “And we want our employees to be empowered as to where our generosity is directed. We want to give where they see a need for impact, and we want generosity to exist on every level and in everything Simple Modern does as a company.” The Simple Modern Giving Committee, a group of Simple Modern employees, extends its sincere gratitude to all attendees, presenters and partners for their contributions to making the Simple Modern Giving Summit 2024 an impactful day for both employees and partners. In addition, the committee also would like to thank the University of Oklahoma and the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business for hosting the entire Simple Modern team and all participating nonprofits.
