Simple Modern’s 2025 Giving Summit
highlights nonprofit partner’s impact

Simple Modern, which exists to give generously, recently held its annual 2025 Giving Summit, a day-long discussion with nonprofits to both understand the impactful initiatives of each as well as identify needs and funding opportunities for the 2025 funding year.

In the weeks leading up to and during the 2025 Giving Summit, Simple Modern employees attended presentations from 22 nonprofits – 18 existing partners and four new potential partners – to learn about the mission, programs, needs and volunteer opportunities available. 

"Simple Modern’s annual Giving Summit gives our entire company a day to pause and focus on the needs of others in our community and our world,” said Mike Beckham, Simple Modern co-founder and CEO. "It is always a day that leaves us both challenged to do and give more to others and inspires us as we hear so much about the tremendous, life-altering work being done so well by so many in our community."

Simple Modern gives at least 10 percent of annual profits to bring good everywhere it can and better communities around the world. Typically, Simple Modern earmarks about 87% of giving to local charities focused on bettering the company’s home state of Oklahoma, with 7.2% focused on national efforts and another 5.8% focused on international giving.

In addition, as part of this annual giving, a portion of giving is employee-driven, meaning every Simple Modern employee, regardless of title or tenure, directs an amount to give to any 501(c)(3) charity of their choice.

“It is so important that giving is a collective decision at Simple Modern,” Beckham said. “We have five giving pillars that are important to all of us and we know that, collectively, our giving can be even more powerful when it is something that we all believe strongly in doing together.”

In addition to the presentation by the more than a dozen nonprofits, Simple Modern released its first-ever Community Impact Report at the 2025 Giving Summit, outlining the company’s monetary and in-kind contributions in 2024, with a historic overview of the legacy of giving that the company is establishing as it approaches its 10th anniversary. To date, the company has given more than $10 million away to more than 1,000 nonprofit partners.

Later in the first quarter of 2025, Simple Modern will announce its 2025 Giving Partners and giving plans for 2025.
