Simple Modern Partners with Health Systems, Donates 100% of Pink Profits for National Mammography Day

We partnered with OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center and Covenant HealthCare to support women receiving mammograms and will donate 100% of profits from all pink product sales on Oct. 16 to Stephenson Cancer Center.

Simple Modern is marking National Mammography Day by partnering with two health systems to encourage women to prioritize their health.

The Oklahoma-based drinkware and consumer goods company partnered with OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City and Covenant HealthCare in Michigan to provide new Simple Modern Trek tumblers to women receiving mammograms on or near Oct. 16 in recognition of National Mammography Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In addition, on Oct. 16, Simple Modern will donate 100% of profits from all pink product sales to OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City. Customers can find the full collection of participating pink products here.

“At Simple Modern, so much of what we do is designed with women in mind, and we know how often women are taking care of everyone and everything around them,” said Chris Hoyle, Simple Modern Chief Marketing Officer. “National Mammography Day is an opportunity to encourage women that their health deserves that same care and attention. We’re proud to support women in prioritizing their health, and grateful to Stephenson Cancer Center and Covenant HealthCare for the important work they do every day.”

Simple Modern will provide hundreds of tumblers across the two health systems, where each staff will distribute to mammography patients with appointments on or near Oct. 16.

For Simple Modern, the National Mammography Day initiative continues an ongoing commitment to supporting people affected by cancer. The company previously partnered with Stephenson Cancer Center and other health facilities through its Fighting Together initiative, which provided 40,000 tumblers to cancer patients and caregivers to help support hydration during treatment.

The National Mammography Day partnerships shift the focus earlier in the cancer journey — to screening, awareness and early detection.

OU Health provides breast imaging and mammography services through its Breast Health Network locations in Oklahoma City and Edmond and its Mobile Mammography Program, which brings mammography services to communities across the state. Patients who need further evaluation or treatment can access comprehensive breast cancer care at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, where they receive specialized care throughout their cancer journey.

“We appreciate Simple Modern for supporting women’s health and investing in the work we do for patients and families across Oklahoma,” said Ben Ikard, MBA, Chief Administrative Officer for Cancer Services at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center.  “Their generosity supports our mission while helping bring attention to an important message: routine mammograms and early detection can save lives. We’re proud to work alongside community partners who help us raise awareness and connect more women with the breast health services and specialized care they need."

In Michigan, Covenant HealthCare’s Breast Health Center provides mammography and other breast diagnostic and support services to patients throughout the region, with multiple breast health locations serving the greater Saginaw area. Patients have access to a full range of diagnostic testing including ultrasound, MRI and biopsy procedures. Patients also have access to Breast Patient Navigators to assist them through their journey.

“We’re grateful to Simple Modern for helping us offer a little extra encouragement on National Mammography Day and remind women that they are supported as they take this step for their health,” said John Koenig, Covenant HealthCare Director, Cancer Services. “This partnership is a meaningful way to celebrate women making their health a priority and reinforce the importance of regular screenings.”

These partnerships are part of Simple Modern’s larger mission to donate at least 10 percent of all profits to nonprofits each year.
