Simple Modern Donates $1.6 Million in 40,000 Free Fighting Together Tumblers in Less Than 24 Hours

As a part of existing to give generously, Simple Modern gave away 40,000 tumblers specifically created to support hydration needs of cancer patients. While spreading generosity and serving others was the goal, the reaction from those receiving the free tumblers valued at about $1.6 million was the unexpected gift the Simple Modern team received as well.

Simple Modern, as part of its mission to exist to give generously, recently gave away 40,000 Fighting Together tumblers through several partnerships with cancer hospitals as well as through the company’s website, simplemodern.com. 

Customers claimed all four unique designs of the Fighting Together tumblers within 24 hours of launching the Fighting Together initiative on the company’s website, which began Nov. 6. Simple Modern designed the cups, which were valued at about $1.6 million, to help cancer patients meet the hydration needs that arise during cancer treatment as well as to signify to them that they are not alone in their battle for better health. 

“We want to bring good everywhere we can,” said Mike Beckham, Simple Modern founder and CEO. “We designed and gave away 40,000 Fighting Together tumblers because we wanted to come alongside anyone who is battling cancer and help them in the way that we uniquely can – with their hydration needs during treatment and beyond. Simple Modern exists to give generously, and we want to support people when and how they need it most. We know we can’t cure cancer, but we can support those battling it.”

Simple Modern designed the almost $2 million giveaway also to let cancer patients know Simple Modern is fighting with them; that the company wants to fight together with them.  To that end, Simple Modern’s customer service team received many messages about the impact of the Fighting Together tumblers for those that received them.
